HOW TO PREPARE:
To help each player prepare for tryouts, we offer a few open gyms in the month of June (open gyms have been cancelled due to COVID-19). Open gym provides an opportunity for the girls to play volleyball in the off season and stay in shape. It is completely optional and does not have a direct impact on whether a player makes a team. Summer strength and conditioning workouts will start in July. Information on workout times will be posted to the website.
Each player can prepare on their own by regularly running and working on your vertical jump. Touching a ball and playing in the off-season is ideal for growing your skills or staying sharp. Contact Coach Bodway if you need some at-home volleyball drill or workout ideas. Please come in shape. The Fall season goes very fast and we need players to come in ready to compete.
