Summer Workouts 2020

We will be doing conditioning in the gym starting Monday Aug. 24 thru Fri. Aug. 28

  • We may incorporate volleyballs

  • We must keep kids in pods of 10, pods should not intermingle

  • If players on campus for school, they must leave campus and reenter through gym entrance

  • We will be taking temperatures

  • Masks required to and from gymnasium

  • Players must bring their own water bottles. No sharing (water bottles, towels etc) 

  • Social distancing when not on court

  • If you have a fever or have felt ill in previous 24 hours do not attend practice

Students must

  • Be enrolled at the OCPS school (Olympia) participating in summer workouts

  • Have approved completed in full the current physical packet and be cleared to play


The coach is not part of they physical release process. They get notified via app if you are cleared or not. They cannot allow you into the gym unless cleared               

 If any questions please direct them to My understanding is for the workouts players with current  physicals can go online to sign the Covid paperwork. remember physical clearance is needed for tryouts so best to get it all done. 


Monday the 24th We will begin practicing in the gymnasium. If you are planning to tryout for the upcoming season you need to be in attendance. Covid safety procedures require us to have only pods of 10 on each court so I will be doing rotating practice groups.  I did not receive the attached form from quite a few of the incoming freshman and transfers. I need to know what position you are trying out for in oder to plan pod times accurately. 


Monday 24th: 

Freshman (ct 1 &2) 3:00-4:30 ready to start, at the gym by 2:50

Sophomore - Senior  (ct 1 & 2)  4:30 - 6:30, warming up at 4:15


Tuesday 25th,

DS's (defensive specialists) (ct 1&2) 3:00 - 4:30  ready to start, at the gym by 2:50

Setters 4:30-6:30  (ct 1&2) warm up at 4:15


Wednesday 26th

Hitters (ct 1 outsides, ct 2 middles/rts)  3:00 - 5:20


Thursday 27th

Freshman (ct 1 &2) 3:00-4:30 ready to start, at the gym by 2:50

Sophomore - Senior   4:30 - 6:00, warming up at 4:15


Friday 28th

3:00 - 5:30 groups to be determined
