COVID - 19
Olympia High School Athletics will be guided by to the policies and recommendations set forth by the CDC, FHSA and Orange County Public Schools.
During the season:

A minimum of six feet must be kept between all people at all times

Players must wear a mask to practice and during practice

Players must leave school and re-enter through the gym entrance
-
Restroom access with social distancing is permitted, no locker room access
Health screening

Head coach to complete Health Screening for assistant coaches daily

Coach to complete Health Screening for the athletes in their pod

Anyone with a temperature at or above 100.4 will need to immediately leave campus for the day:

Health Screening will be conducted daily; coaches or students cannot participate if they answer yes to the following questions or have a temperature at or above 100.4 Questions to be asked are: Do you have chills, a sore throat, cough or shortness of breath? Do you currently feel ill?

Players may be periodically COVID-19 tested.

Pod attendance and screening needs to be performed daily prior to workouts. Athletes must leave if they fail any screening criteria

A player MUST bring their own water bottle and not share (please label it)

No shared equipment or clothing is permitted between teammates and coaches unless wiped down each use
-
Coaches are not to transport student-athletes to and/or from workouts in private vehicle
-
No physical contact between athletes or coaches

Pre and post workout outdoor hand washing station and/or hand sanitizer

Equipment sanitized after each practice
Parents and participants

Parents/guardians are unable to attend workouts

Parents must remain in their vehicle at drop-off and pick-up

Communication with coaches must be arranged in a virtual manner

Athlete must depart or be picked up no later than 15 minutes after conclusion of workout

Parents. please send hand wipes with your child so they can wipe a surface after use.
Our staff and facility will:

Olympia staff will have their temperature taken each day, anyone with a temperature exceeding 100.4 will be sent home.

When addressing the players coaches will maintain proper distance and wear a face mask

Balls will be spray sanitized each day and during breaks
-
Locker rooms are not available for use
-
Bathrooms will be limited to 2 individuals at a time
-
Gym floors and touchable surfaces will be cleaned each day
